Nice deep bass

CONS:
Sound quality from older DVDs suffers

REVIEW:
I got this system after reading 5 Star review in WhatHiFi - and the fact that at the time it was the only Blu-Ray Home Cinema System retailing at under £400 that could handle Dolby TrueHD!

The menu is simple enough once you get your head around it and the touch sensitive controls are slick.

Now the important thing - how does it sound? Well, it is 2.1 so don't be expecting full-blown surround. If you want something that significantly enhances your tv sound, then this is it. The sub is meaty and with the volume turned up, it will fill the room with sound (our living room is 12' * 12') - the satellites seem to handle loud volumes very well. Voices are pretty clear and there are options for adjusting speaker distance, sub volume and av sync (if the audio is slightly off).

The system does have an option for Virtual Surround, but I am not impressed with this - voices sound thick. DVDs look and sound great, with impressively upscaled picture quality, though I was disappointed with the sound quality on some of my older music DVDs. Audio CDs & MP3s sound very good however.

To summarise, you get what you pay for - I wasn't wanting speakers and wires all over my living room. This system meets my requirements and provides the boost to my tv sound that I was looking for.
